Whats this new terms of use I have to agree to before using blu?
I wondered if I was going to the right website after returning from winter break. I had to agree to a "Terms of Use" before I could access BFS, or BAIRS or any of those fun things I need in my work. It appears to be telling me that I'm liable to get sued if there's any breach of confidential informaton or misuse of information which might happen with my user ID and password. No where does it talk about the department's responsibility to provide necessary security, tools for employees to manage userID/passwords, nor the possibility of UCB's central data warehouse being compromised. In the very least - we could have been notified of this. And see - it lets UC Berkeley modify the terms of use at any time. Just try to find it in blu - after you agree to it. I couldn't find it. What are we agreeing to? Are you taking the time to reading all the fine print?
